Well, I hope this isn't a sign of things to come...imagine my face when I'm driving down I-95S and my trunk light comes on b/c the damn trunk popped open.... So needless to say my brand new 2013 Dart is going into service this week to get that fixed. I knew something was wrong with it b/c I literally have to slam the trunk for it to shut. Anyone else have this issue?

Hopefully this is an isolated issue and I didn't buy a lemon...everything else is working properly though, so I'm optimistic for now.

I think anytime things are wireless controlled there is a chance a stray signal may do things. If it is truly an issue once they track it down you'll probably be getting a software update. I've found the one on my Challenger popped several times. Not sure if I did it with the key in my pocket but none the less.

I've had my new dart for two weeks now,it has just over 800 miles on it and is in shop for truck opening magically problem.

I guess I forgot to post an update, sorry! I ended up not taking her in to the dealer...the problem seemed to just fix itself. Maybe the mechanism just needed to be broken in?
