Tomorrow I will be taking my Dart in for the THIRD time and it only has 500 miles. The first time I had the car less than 12 hours. They replaced the clutch switch that allows the car to start. 2 weeks later, same thing. This time they replaced the switch and ignition. Now the car either wont start at all or the engine continually cranks but wont start. So back to the dealer it goes. Looking at lemon law rights this time !

Unfortunately new cars do end up with some bugs. Hopefully they will get you straightened out.

All modern cars with a manual transmission use a switch that prevents the starter from engaging untill the clutch pedal is fully depressed. This prevents drivers from accidently starting the car in gear.

this is the switch that people who install remote starts not exactly cut, but have engaged nearly all the time so the car can start when the clutch isn't properly engaged. Sorry your having issues, tell them to do a full spec on the issue and not just fix they think.
