I drive a 2014 Dodge Dart sxt rallye. I have 3000 miles on it and mainly drive through the suburbs. My dart chugs gas. I have been averaging 14 mpg for every tank, when I tried for the past tank to drive conservatively I reset and ended up getting 20 mpg driving as conservatively as I could. This is a automatic transmission, is this my fault or is there a problem?

I would suggest getting it checked out. 14-20 mpg is not anywhere close to what it should be getting.

Does everything appear to be running correctly? Are your tires properly inflated?

Does your driving style entail frequently wide open throttle style starts? Are you driving around with your foot constantly on the floor?

If everything appears to be running right, the tires are inflated properly, and you're not driving WOT everywhere, you probably have an underlying problem.

good luck
