So I stopped at the dealer today to see if there was any movement on my build and what I found out was a bit disconcerting.

My car, which was ordered on 6/16, is still sitting in a C status however it now has sub-status of Tentative. When asked what that meant the dealer was at a loss to answer that. By both of our calculations my car should have been confirmed and rolling down the line right now or in QA.

To date I have not received any of the 3 emails that I should be receiving so I have my guy digging into it to see if there are any issues.

Anyone else have any updates? Delays? Confirmation? :confused:

Hey! Good post. Mine was sitting in "scheduled for production" for about 2 weeks and I just received an email today from dodge/chrysler that the production has started and the frame is currently being built!!! so HOPEFULLY no more than 2 weeks before I am driving one of the first Darts in my area.

did you get a VIN? if so, enter it in www.dodge.com/vots

good luck!!!

I just heard back from my dealer and it's the maximum steel paint that has my order on hold. No eta so I'm now in a holding pattern.

issues

Mine is now moved to the trim level. but from what i've heard through my gf's sister who is an engineer at chrysler in auburn hills, mi....there is an issue with the wiring harness on the darts and they are not releasing the darts for delivery until this is taken care of.

I emailed my salesman and he said that the darts that were ordered at the dealership, prior to mine have been built, and shipped to a storage facility and he doesn't know when they would be released for delivery. So essentially he knows there is an issue with the darts and won't tell me but I kind of already have the inside skinny. I hope when I get this dart its not in and out of the dealership for repairs. my girlfriend's sister is telling me to rest assured that they won't let me have it until all known issues are fixed, she kept explaining that launching a brand new model, not just a refresh or remake is very difficult.

bah...the dealership said first week of august for my dart but he also said it could be longer.

Finally got something in the email today. They know I'm alive!

Dear Customer,

Congratulations on your new Dodge purchase! Currently, we are in the process of ordering the parts required to assemble your vehicle in the plant.

We will contact you next when your vehicle is scheduled for production. At that point, you will be provided with login information for the Vehicle Order Tracking System (VOTS). The VOTS enables you to track your new Dodge as it moves through eight production stages:

1. Confirmation -> 2. Production -> 3. Frame -> 4. Paint -> 5. Trim -> 6. Final Inspection -> 7.Shipment -> 8. Delivery

Please be patient as we work to provide you with a new Dodge built to your specifications. We sincerely appreciate your business.

Thank you,
The Dodge Brand Team
