Hey guys,

So I got my Dart, only waited 8 weeks!

But for some reason i'm getting terrible MPG, almost the same as my Charger..

22MPG or about 10.8L per 100 km, only getting 400-450 KM per tank

Mostly city driving and it's cold here and snowy but wouldn't think It would be that bad

It's the 1.4L DDCT.

The guys at the dodge dealership just kinda brushed me off, any idea what the problem could be?

I always get less mpg during the Winter months then the warmer months. The gas is reformulated for cold weather and it is not as good in my opinion.

If you sit in the car motionless playing with all the features with the motor running, then your overall MPG will drop. I've had my Dart a week and I've spent a couple hours with the motor running exploring all the features.

I have the 2.0 L engine and automatic shift.

So far I've made two trips, 4.3 miles over 39 minutes with 15.0 MPG and 19.3 miles over one hour and 14 minutes with 29.5 MPG.

Also, record the mileage at your next gas fill, the mileage at the one to follow and the gallons purchased at that time. Keep Trip A reset every time you buy gas. Then you can compare the Trip A MPG to the calculated MPG. The Trip A MPG may be off.

I have the 1.4L turbo and only put premium gas in it. I have 20,000 miles on it and still have not reached over 31 mpg. The harder I drive the car the better mpg seems to be also the colder it is outside the better car runs...

I have the 2.0 Auto and have been tracking MPG lately to check the accuracy of the average MPG display. Well it isn't very accurate thats for sure. It has been showing around 30mpg average for a tank but math says I'm getting 26-27mpg. I just filled up this morning with the display showing 29.1mpg but the math says 24mpg. I run the cheap 87 regular unleaded with 10% ethonal we have here in the PNW during winter months. I have never run premium to see if the improved milleage offsets the added cost.
