dirty engine

I just pulled the intake ,valve covers , to install a new cam ,lifters, and adj rockers . engine is a 1968 273 !!!! man the inside is dirty im not ready to rebuild the hole engine , since Obama got re-elected not going to have any money. I also washed down the hole motor since its pulled out also replacing all the freeze plugs since 3 are leaking anyways what can i use to clean the inside engine with ( motor on engine stand ) can remove oil pan if needed , help thanks
