Being new to the Dodge world and Mopar I feel I can ask the questions some are nervous to ask. Plain and simple, what are some easy, quick, reletively cheap things to do to help the 1.4L Turbo breathe a bit better? Based off what I've gathered here on the site, a CAI seems to help and of course an exhaust. But the MF is too calm for what I am looking for...Im almost looking for something as growly as the older Neon SRT4's were with an exhaust....any ideas on something like that? I also saw some threads about capping off a boost leak. But other than that there doesn't seem like there is much more that can be done with the car yet simply because the model is so new? Also I'm looking to put in an aftermarket boost gauge, just for grins :p, any ideas or pictures of a good location to put the vacuum line?

I just bought my dart Saturday but from what I've seen and heard on you tube on the turbo models go with a catless downpipe and 3" exhaust no muffler. I used to have a 04 srt neon so I know the sound your looking for cause I'm goin for the same thing

Im sure no Downpipe is a great idea, but gotta be careful with those state inspections depending where you are.. if you get a gutted cat dp that way if dp with cats are a must for your state inpsection, itll appear as you have a catalytic converter on your downpipe :) but i did see that FLOWmaster has some piping without mufflers for the car. not too bad price wise either for true dual exhaust piping, like 500+ship :)

Dartin-around13, do you have a link for the Flowmaster exhaust piping?

jseagrave21, check out modern performance. They have the flowmaster exhaust, injen intake and intercooler piping and a bunch of other stuff for our cars. Real good pricing too.
