Hey,

I just had a code P0456 the other day. Hubby researched it and bought a generic gas cap. The code popped up as a light on my dashboard. I thought it was just the gas from WaWa vs. 7-11 at first. But, after the generic cap didn't do anything, hubby tried to clear the code, I called the Dodge dealer. Turns out you need a replacement cap, it's around $18 or so. It's a Mopar replacement with a tether and everything. Something to do with the vacuum seal. Then the code was cleared. Just wanted to post this in case anyone else had the issue in the future. :)

That code can be aggravating to get rid of. Once the leak is gone it will take 3 or 4 start cycles for it to clear itself.
