Hi there! I'm new to these forums and I searched a little but not a lot because I really didn't want to or have the time right now. I just have a simple question and a life story I wanted to ask/share.
I am looking to purchase a new Dart here in the first quarter of this year and on paper with the numbers/weight of vehicle it should be a decently "quick" (i use that term loosely) car but with "tests"/reviews I have seen it is not. I have driven one myself and I really like it, it is a peppy little guy. The trans will be automatic and maybe that's where I think its not as slow as I read because it will be my first automatic in almost 3 years. The car I'm comparing it to in my head is my previous car which was my 5spd 2012 VW Golf 2.5L which on paper is less powerful but on "tests" is a whole second faster than what I read. My butt dyno and test driving the car felt just as quick as my Golf. Now speed/power are not an issue as I'm pretty much over that since I'm going to be trading in my Stage 2 2012 GTI which to me is something I would consider "fast" at least tons faster than the Dart haha. But like I said that doesn't matter to me lol.
But my main question is, what makes this car "slow"? The one I will be purchasing is the 2.4L with 184HP....
I hope this post doesn't offend anyone I know how some people get about cars and terrible grammar... I just want an answer.
Thanks for your time, Mike
