When will Mopar come out with stuff for the Dart? Or do they already have stuff out? I'd like to get see what they will have for the Dart so I can start customizing it. This is my first new vehicle and I am excited to see what I can do...

cold air intake? underbody lighting?

what other ideas for customizing do you guys have?

I would check with your dealer about Mopar parts, they should have an idea. I know the aftermarket guys were waiting for the cars to hit the streets so they can have something to go by. It may be a few months before you see things, other than items (engine, driveline) that may carry over from Fiat. At least that's my take on it.

we have seen nothing on the new Dart in the way of OE Accessories but I know they're on their way. on the other hand, we've only had 3-4 Darts arrive, so I'm guessing that Mother Mopar is doing their best to get them on the road first.

you know the old saying: Don't put the cart before the horse. in this case, they're not going to release alot of accessories before they get some cars on the road. JMO.

I was very disappointed that my new Dart did not have the full lights across the back (racetrack lights). While waiting for my car the night we bought it the salesman and manager said to go check with their parts guy and see if a lighted panel could be ordered now. After checking I was shocked with a price of $995.00. The manager says maybe a bulb and wiring kit could possibly be the fix. I guess we will have to wait and see. When I have a chance this week I am going to pull off the piece and see if I can make a light kit myself. That is the ony thing I dont likke about the car everything else is great.

This is ridiculous! I'm fuming abou this. I just bought a ralley two days ago. I didn't realize tailights were an option?! Who came up with this stupid idea?! Now it just looks like my tailight is broken or something! I'm going to give my salesmen a piece of my mind on this...no way am I paying $1000 for something that should already work. Sorry, rant over.

The dealer I bought my Dart from says they need to activate them in the TIPM using the starscan tool. I don't know if they are installed on the other models but they are on the limited version.

Here you go...I picked up the K&N filter from Advanced Auto Parts yesterday for like $55 and did the install in like 20 mins or less...took a pic of the stock airbox so you can see how much plastic comes out of there. This K&N filter is AWESOME. The fitting was perfect, 2.5", and it sits right over top of the stock air intake hole. The noise of air suction and the turbo spool when it lets off is just pure awesome. This mod is a must for anyone with the 1.4l turbo motor! All you need to do this intall is a flathead screwdriver and 10mm socket wrench...and done! The difference in sound from stock is literally night and day.

is the filter size for the 2.0 & the 1.4 the same?

edit: nevermind, thought you did a drop-in.
I don't want to run an open element, too much engine heat will get sucked in.
Might not be a problem in turbo applications, but heat soak would kill what little power the 2.0 NA has.

What's the part number for that air filter plez. Thanks
Not sure, good thing I kept the box though! I'll get it off the box after work tonight and post up the part#...I've had it on now for a couple hundred miles, and still performing perfectly! The sound it gives off is insane.

The tailight issue has really bothered me, so I've been researching it quite a bit. Another Dodge Dart Ralleye owner figured out how us owners who didn't get the tailight option from the factory can do it aftermarket right now for $355:

*Part Number Removed- 68100684AC (NON-RACETRACK LIGHT/NON-KEYLESS ENTRY)
*Part Number Added-68090960AB (RACETRACK LIGHT/KEYLESS IGNITION) ~$355.30 (From AllMoparParts.Com) -or- 68164500AB (RACETRACK LIGHT/KEYLESS ENTRY) ~$630+
***NOTE: You may use a Keyless Ignition Racetrack tail light on a vehicle without the keyless ignition. You will just have a useless button on your trunk***

Tools Used:
• Fingers –Remove push clips holding the trunk deck liner in place
• Socket-11/32-nuts holding light housing in place (not the exact size but it worked)
• 4 inch socket extension
• Flat head Screwdriver-Remove stubborn light connector pins

I can't post the entire write up because its from another Dart forum, but just google dodge dart racetrack tailight and you'll find it. Very good write up, by a Marine nonetheless! This guy was as determined as me, lol, if not more!

Well i work at the dealer and there is no tipm module on these cars and they cant use star scan on these cars only the witech scan tool, sounds like they were blowing smoke up your ass. I did however talk to the parts manager and look at the $995 part cost and get pretty pissed he did say they might after a little while make a lighting kit upgrade for it. Oh another thing that might piss some guys off is what i was told is that the tail lamps will be a standard option at the end of the year.

^^See my previous post about the $355 led tailight part from MOPAR. The part# and everything checks out. Another dart owner has already done this and it IS a plug and play setup. Can't believe Dodge didn't make these standard out of the gate...

If this happens my dealership WILL be getting a phone call from me demanding that they install this part, at no cost to me.

^^Sweet man! Post up pics once you're done!! I'll have to save up some coin before I can pull the trigger on that part, but man what a difference those tailights make.

you are correct, on both counts. Sorry about getting the nomenclature confused, I also own a challenger (which does have a TIPM) and I figured it was something similar in the Dart, guess I was wrong.
And the lighting issue is getting resolved - after they took our dart apart to find the lights were not there the service manager and I made a deal. He pays half the cost of the light kit (about $500 - lite kit is $995 dealer price), I pay the other half, and they do the install.
But, he says the part isn't avaliable for order yet....so now the wife and I are waiting.
I am definitely looking into the $355 option. If they will order the part I'll do the install. Hell, i may pay for the part and have them do the install.
