So as I can see there really quite a few dart owners with the same issue and none have got the answer is got from my dealer as to why we need to check the oil constantly on our cars. Well the answer I got is that dodge knows about the problem as it is anot engine manufacturer problem that when the engine was assembled the piston rings a having an issue with pieces breaking off and scoring the cylinder walls causing oil to blow by and out the exaust which will cause your engine to shut off. So to fix mine they are putting in a new engine but told me I will need to check the oil constantly. So I guess they just don't have a real fix and this fix will still probably blow oil and that sould effect the emissions
