I have ordered a Red Dodge Dart Limited with the 1.4l Turbo with a manual transmission. Black interior. I got the new Limited Special Edition Group (ADZ); this includes Premium Group, Leather, Sunroof, Dual Zone Control, LED Racetrack Taillamps and 1 year Sirius. I also added Technology Group.

I ordered last Thursday and I hope to get it well before April Fools Day.

I am so excited.

Welcome to the DartforumZ. First time I heard of a Limited Special Edition, must really be nice. Post some pictures when you get it and the exhaust question will be resolved.

I did a little more research to see if the Dart was assembled exclusively at the Belvidere, Il site and that appears to be the case. I was concerned that they may be changing lines to manufacture different models but it appears this line is dedicated to the Dart so this shouldn't hold up the build.

I sent an email to Dodge asking when I might see the car on VOTS and they say it won't be until it is assigned a VIN, this should be within the next 30 days. Here is the email I received, it sounds as though my dealer is the best to give me updates:

Congratulations on the order of your 2013 Dodge Dart Limited!

According to our provided resources, the order for your 2013 Dodge Dart Limited is in the scheduling phase of the manufacturing process. The parts required to build your vehicle are being scheduled and as soon as they available and ready, your order will be scheduled for build. Most orders are scheduled for build within 30 days after reaching this stage.

Until your 2013 Dodge Dart Limited has been scheduled for production and assigned a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), you will be unable to track the progress using our Vehicle Order Tracking System (VOTS). We are unable to predict when your 2013 Dodge Dart Limited will be scheduled for production.

When the order for your 2013 Dodge Dart Limited was placed, your dealership would have entered your email address and your first name and last name for access to our VOTS. You will receive an email through the system, once your vehicle has been sequenced for production and assigned a VIN. At that time, you will be able to utilize our VOTS for a status regarding the production progress.

Our best recommendation would be for you to keep in contact with your selling Dodge dealership as they are the best resource for an estimate regarding the delivery date of your 2013 Dodge Dart Limited or visit our VOTS periodically, once you have the VIN at:

http://www.dodge.com/vots

You are always welcome to reply back to this email and we will respond back to you as promptly as we can. If you prefer, you can also call us directly with your questions at the Dodge Product Information Center by calling 1-800-964-0600. When you call, we can connect you directly to your local dealership, providing your call is during the dealer's hours of operation.

Again, congratulations on the purchase of your 2013 Dodge Dart Limited

Congrats on the new car hawkeyor! My limited is an awesome car. I looked at ordering myself, but just didnt want to wait. But i do remember the salesman saying they had just received word about a special edition Dart they could order, and I dont think it was the mopar one. So maybe that was what you have ordered !

Hey Blastoiise, I think your right about the 2.0 motor having single exhaust. Congrats on your car to :)

Only thing I am wondering about is when the build is starting. I am excited and impatient but I guess good things take time. Look forward to seeing at the dealer when it arrives. Thanks to those who are willing to keep me informed with their insight.

I got it....

No not the car but the email from Dodge to let me know that my Dart will be entering production in about a week. I also received a partial VIN to enter in VOTS. I received an email from my dealer with what I expect is the full VIN. Checking the status on VOTS the "Production Scheduled" is in red for the Production Stages and this is listed as my vehicle status.

I feel good that we have moved into a more certain stage of development.

Update I got from Dodge this morning.

Your new Dodge is now scheduled for production. Your vehicle may reside in this status for up to two weeks as the production line is prepared for assembly.

Two weeks really?

The email also said:
We will contact you next when your vehicle moves to frame status. At that point, you can anticipate your vehicle will move quickly through the next few stages of build.

hawkeyor: i ordered my dart rallye December 29 and I recieved mine Feb 7. SO it took a little over a month. I could have had 1 shipped in from like WI but I didn't want to put the miles on it. Mine is Orange I would have went with yellow but that yellow is just ugly. I love my dart very much.
