Ok I just got my dart last week and I know this is stupid but I didn"t open the hood before I left the dealer anyway There is no cover on the engine I have the SE Aero with the 1.4 turbo shouldn"t there be a plastic cover on the motor all the pics of the motors I ve seen have them. Please let me know if you guys have or don"t have them as the dealer is acting like some don"t have the covers on the motors.

I would think they all do mine does.... I think someone forgot to install..
Never seen one without unless they porposly removed it... I wold demand a cover from your dealer if you want one.

Dealer told me today the SE Aero don't come with the cover you would think since its a 1300 increase in price for the turbo engine that there would be a cover if anyone has a SE Aero and the 1.4 turbo and your engine has a plastic cover on it please let me know

I paid for aero package but had other upgrades and have 1.4 turbo and I have engine cover... I think that is DEALER BS !!!!
I would call DODGE

I was looking on the dodge site for the aero and it shows the motor with the cover and when you put your cursor on the image it says its a pic from a aero model. I sent a e-mail not sure if it was the right person but maybe they will point me in the right direction.

Just talked to the dealer this morning and they said that cover is a option I asked how much he didn't know I said let me ask you this its a 1300 dollar option for the 1.4 engine if I buy a sxt and get the 1.4 in it how much is the engine upgrade is it more then 1300 because it gets a cover. He said he would check into it cause he didn't know. Here is the kicker I have the premium tft screen and it has a setting for a compass they worked on it for four hours and had to call the chrysler engineers and today there answer was the car is not equiped with a compass even though it has the setting on the screen. I asked why they would include the setting when its not on the car and the dealer said he asked the same question and they told him thats how they had to do it. I really recommend you don't buy the SE model no matter what package they install on it you would think when you add the aero package you would basically have the areo model which apperently is not the case. Thought I checked into this car pretty good before I bought it they have taught me a lesson.

This is so aggrevating and so funny at the same time The dealer calls me today and says they believe it doesn't have a cover because of the placement of the turbo and it may be a heat issue to that I replied thats funny cause the turbo engine cover has a red insert and says multi air turbo on it and unlike the other covers it actually has vents in it once again they had no answer other then they will have to check into it.

Next time you go back to the dealer; check to see if there are anymore dart aeros on the lot with the turbo. If you find one get them to open the hood to and if you see an engine cover tell them you want it. The dealer can order one that dart.

I got a e-mail from doodge customer service wanting the last 8 of my vin and my phone number they said they are gonna look into this. Really curious what lame excuse I will get this time.

UPDATE A excutive from chrysler called me and said he was checking into my engine cover and should hear back from him tomorrow he said it didn't sound right to him either that a engine wouldn't have a cover.

I was contacted today by the executive referrals manager he checked into my complaint I told him the dodge web site was misleading and he agreed and said he would be looking into having them change the web site. He also said they would be sending a engine cover to the dealer for my car since the web site pictured the engine with the cover. I asked abt the compass problem I had because after my wife taking the car to the shop for them to set the compass on the tft screen and them not being able to do it and they called the engineers at chrysler and it took them a day to figure out that my car wasn't equipped with a compass he said they couldn't install a compass but for waitting at the dealer for 5 hrs he would make my first payment on the car. I think that was very nice of him and hopefully he will get them to change the site so its not mis leading. I also suggested that on line manual was confusing and would be better serving if you could enter your vin number and then the manual would only show the options you have installed thus making it easier to find the things your looking for and be more specific to you car.

Congrats job well done.........!!!!!!

maybe i should badger dodge about the front chin spoiler... and they will finally send me one.... since they show it as a option at my dealer...
What nmber or email have you been using?

Well I finally got my engine cover today after the dealer ordered they called me in I had my doubts that they ordered the right one and after sitting there a half hour and they saw I was getting upset they went and robbed one off another car cause they ordered the wrong one so a hour later they had me out of there. Also recieved my check from chrysler
