I purchased a new Dart Limited on 3/24/13 with 1.4 Turbo and Dual Dry Clutch automatic transmission. It had 14 miles on it when I left the dealership. We drove it from the dealership to a restaurant for dinner 35 miles away. After dinner I started the car and put it in Reverse. The message "Service Transmission" appeared on the dash and the car wouldn't move in Drive or Reverse. Also received messages "Gear Not Available" and "Shift to Neutral Then D or R". The Multifunction Indicator light is lit indicating a code has been stored in the ODB II system.

Bottom line is complete transmission failure on a car with 49 miles on it and after 2 hours of ownership.

We called a tow truck and had it taken back to the dealer.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

There was a recall on the DDCT's built from August thru Sept of 2012. There was a bad pilot servo that had to be replaced. The problem you had is what others have reported for this servo failure. Some have had their cars sit in dealerships for a week and longer waiting for parts. If you just purchased this vehicle and the dealership failed to comply with this recall, I'd be ripping them a new one and if need be get a lawyer.

2013 dart limited 1.4L auto
I just had my Trans go out this weekend. I was in traffic and i could feel the car trying to "pull" while on the brakes and not moving. Then i noticed the smell of a burnt clutch and relized it was my car, so I shifted to netural thinking maybe that would help. when i shifted back to drive i got a service trans, check engine and i had no power. Finally after about 2 minutes i had power and was able to get it in a parking lot. It is at the dealer now so when i find out what the issue was i will reply

Just talked to the dealer, seems to be a control module. Not that big of a deal until it completely goes out and destroys the trans. The other bad thing is the fact that this is on back order. They said a week minimum.
